Lessons learned: 18 months of human and technical challenge

Certification cannot be bought; it has to be built. For more than a year, every member of the team contributed to building our ISMS (Information Security Management System).

1. Preparation: A total commitment

For Céline (Certification Manager), the challenge was enormous: “I spent 80% of my time on the ISMS during the last 6 months. Every document had to be coordinated to keep the project from becoming overly complicated.”

For his part, Sébastien (Managing Director and CTO) had to carry the strategic vision: “The stakes were high for a company like ours. My role was to set the course by writing the letter of commitment and structuring the technical architecture (TAD) so that it would be beyond reproach.”

2. Day-to-day work: What has really changed

Contrary to popular belief, certification did not turn our jobs upside down; it formalized them.

  • Morgan (System Administrator): “We were already applying many of these rules intuitively. Certification forced us to structure our tasks. Today, I am much more vigilant about authentication when handling restore requests.”

  • Etienne (Developer): “Our development pipeline was already rigorous (code review, automated tests). Certification allowed us to document this process meticulously to guarantee risk-free releases.”

  • Stéphanie (Sales Director): “My job was to secure the subcontracting chain with our partners and to make our customers aware of the importance of these new contractual guarantees.”

3. How it felt: Team pride

For Loïc (Marketing Officer), certification was a growth driver: “We were proud to be able to announce it to our partners. It took us to the next level.”
