Every month, the KiwiBackup technical team enhances WebAdmin V5 to simplify backup administration and improve the monitoring of protected environments.

The August 2026 release brings several new features covering Microsoft backup, agent monitoring, backup tracking and API usage.

1. A new option for requesting Microsoft authorization

A new option simplifies setting up Microsoft 365 backups when the user does not have direct access to the “master” Microsoft account, particularly when it is managed by an administrator who does not necessarily use WebAdmin.

In this case, it is now possible to send an authorization request directly to the relevant Microsoft administrator.

The administrator receives an e-mail allowing them to approve the authorization on their side, without needing to log in to WebAdmin or share their credentials.

Once the authorization has been granted, it is automatically saved in WebAdmin. The user can then continue the configuration and back up their Outlook mailbox or OneDrive, without needing to access the administrator account themselves.

This option thus makes collaboration easier between the user in charge of the backup and the Microsoft administrator, while avoiding credential sharing.

2. A new page dedicated to agent status

A new “Agent status” section has been added to WebAdmin.

Its main purpose is to allow administrators to quickly identify disconnected agents, and therefore machines that are no longer communicating properly with the platform.

The page also shows the status of the other agents, providing an overview and making checks easier.

This new visibility makes it possible, in particular, to spot more quickly a machine that may no longer be running its backups correctly.

3. A new design for the “Backups in progress” page

The “Backups in progress” page has also been visually redesigned.

Its new design improves the readability of information and makes it easier to track operations currently running.

This change is part of the gradual modernization of WebAdmin V5 and aims to make day-to-day backup tracking clearer.

4. A new page for API routes

WebAdmin now includes a new page dedicated to API routes.

It makes it easier to find the various available routes and provides centralized documentation on how to use them.

This change makes it easier to integrate KiwiBackup into third-party tools and to develop automations around the platform.
