Every month, the KiwiBackup technical team enhances WebAdmin V5 to give administrators an ever more comprehensive, intuitive and powerful interface.
The July 2026 release brings many new features to improve the monitoring of your backups, make it easier to administer your contracts and machines, and provide better visibility across all of your activity.
1. An even more comprehensive dashboard
The dashboard gains new widgets to provide a more global view of your activity as soon as you log in.
You will now find:
- a “News” widget, giving you direct access to the latest KiwiBackup news;
- a widget showing the trend in backup volume used;
- available volume tracking charts directly on the dashboard as well as in the details of spaces, contracts and machines.
The “Jobs in alert” widget can now also be customized. You can now set the time after which a backup is considered to be in alert, between 1 and 60 days, to tailor monitoring to your organization.
These changes let you quickly identify important information and better oversee your day-to-day activity.
2. More precise backup monitoring
Backup monitoring becomes more precise thanks to several improvements.
The “Backups in progress” page now refreshes automatically, with no need to reload it. New backups appear as they are launched, while completed ones automatically disappear from the list. The progress bar is also updated in real time, giving a precise view of each backup's progress.
In addition, a new “Jobs” tab is available. It brings together all the backup jobs associated with the contract, whether pending, in progress or completed. When a backup is running, a progress bar lets you instantly track its progress directly from this view.
These new features make it easier to follow ongoing operations and get an up-to-date view of activity, without any manual intervention.
3. Simpler contract administration
Several changes now make day-to-day contract management easier.
CSV exports are now available in two formats:
- a light version containing only the contracts;
- a full version including the contracts and all associated machines.
Exports can be filtered to obtain:
- all contracts;
- only contracts within their quota;
- only contracts exceeding their quota.
4. Cloud-to-cloud available in WebAdmin V5
Cloud-to-cloud backup is now officially available from WebAdmin V5. All features related to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace backups can be accessed from this new interface, allowing you to centralize the administration of all your backups.
In addition, when creating a Microsoft 365 contract, you can now send an authorization request directly to the Microsoft administrator of the relevant tenant. They receive a link allowing them to grant the permissions required for the backup, without having to log in to WebAdmin or share their credentials.
This change simplifies the deployment of Cloud-to-Cloud backups, while strengthening access security and following identity management best practices.
5. Profiles to automate your configurations
Configuration management evolves with the arrival of profiles.
You can create a default profile or specific profiles for different backup jobs in order to automatically apply the same configuration to multiple jobs.
This feature makes it easier to deploy new backups while ensuring a consistent configuration across your entire fleet.
Conclusion
This July release brings new tools to monitor your backups more effectively, simplify day-to-day administration and gain visibility across your entire infrastructure.
With richer dashboards, real-time backup monitoring, new administration features and configuration profiles, KiwiBackup continues to evolve to better meet the needs of IT teams.
