Every month, the KiwiBackup technical team enhances its interfaces to improve the readability, management and day-to-day control of backups.
The March 2026 release follows this approach, with a clear goal: to make information more accessible, more visual and easier to use, whatever your level of use.
1. Clearer, more immediate data visualization
To make it easier to monitor your backups, several elements have been redesigned to give you a quick view of the essential information.
- Volume and number of accounts displayed as charts: you can now see at a glance the number of accounts and the volume used, without having to go through complex tables.
- A new “list” view for more efficient management: The tabs for managing spaces, contracts and machines now offer a list view. This layout allows faster navigation, especially for environments with a large number of items.
2. A dashboard available at every level
Until now, the dashboard was only available to resellers or super-resellers.
Now a user at the lowest level (contract) can see the dashboard with a summary of the contract information.
In practice, every user, even at the lowest level, can access a clear summary of their scope: backup status, volume, machines, alerts, etc.
This change gives users greater autonomy and visibility tailored to each level.
3. Simplified download of the configuration file
The kiwi.conf file, which contains the backup configuration information (present on every workstation equipped with KiwiCloud or KiwiSanté), is now more accessible.
Until now, it could only be viewed, requiring a manual copy and paste.
It can now be downloaded directly from the Statistics page, in one click. This saves time for support or analysis operations.
4. Quick copy of key information
Some actions have been simplified:
- One-click copy of the contract key from the contract card
- One-click copy of the machine ID from the machine card
These improvements make handling easier and prevent input errors.
5 Advanced search filters on all pages
New filters have been added to make information easier to access and refine your searches.
You can now more easily filter your data by several additional criteria, including:
- contracts: creation date, space, status, summary sending,
- machines: by name, contract or backup type,
- statistics: machine and period,
- alerts: restores and traceability items (message, path, user).
Additional filters will soon be available, notably for logs and kits.
These improvements help you find essential information faster.
6. Simplified access to a machine's detailed information
For each machine, new tabs have been added to its detail page: Logs, Statistics, Backups and Restores. This means all the essential information is grouped in one place, making analysis and monitoring easier without having to navigate through several pages.
In addition, navigation has been simplified from machine or contract cards: if users have the necessary permissions, they can now go directly to the space, contract or machine simply by clicking on its name. This feature reduces clicks and makes exploring the platform smoother and more intuitive.
Conclusion
The March updates aim to make the platform smoother and easier to read, with simplified access to information, faster actions and better overall visibility. These improvements are part of an ongoing effort: making the tool ever more effective day to day, whatever your level of use.
