A new feature in your backup software
Until now, data could only be restored by logging in to the user interface to start loading the data.
2 situations:
- you had lost part of your data and the restore could be done from the affected workstation or server
- your workstation or server had completely crashed and you restored to another machine using the lost workstation's config file
Today, a 3rd option is available: restoring from the administration interface.
Restoring your data from the admin interface
This new feature allows an administrator (CIO, system administrator, service provider in charge of backups...) to start the restore directly from the machine's management panel in the administration interface.
As a result, taking remote control of the customer's workstation is no longer required, which greatly simplifies the organization of the technical team, whether internal or external.
Once the version has been chosen and the restore started, the file is loaded asynchronously and is available for download for 7 days. After that, the link disappears for security reasons.
In addition, enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) is mandatory to start such a restore from the administration interface.
