As part of the continuous improvement of our security standards (ISO 27001 and HDS), we are rolling out a new authentication feature for your support requests. From now on, a unique validation code secures every exchange with our technicians.
Why this change?
Social engineering (or psychological manipulation) is now one of the main vectors of cyberattacks. By impersonating you, a malicious person could try to obtain information about your backups or change your access rights.
To counter this risk, we have introduced a systematic verification barrier. This change guarantees that our technicians only share data with, or act on behalf of, duly authorized users of the KiwiCloudand KiwiSanté platforms.
What this means for users
Protection against identity theft: Only a person with access to your administration console can prove their legitimacy to support.
Enhanced confidentiality: Your backup and health information is better protected against unauthorized access attempts.
Auditability: Every support request is now formally linked to an authenticated administration session.
How does it work? (It's very simple!)
For any technical support request, our teams will now ask you for a 6-digit security code.
Where can I find the code? Log in to your KiwiBackup administration interface.
Display: The code is shown in real time in the widget called "Volume global et authentification".
Validation: Give this code to the person you are speaking with during your call, or include it in your support ticket.
Our technicians instantly check that the code matches on their own secure interface before providing assistance.
Your security is our priority
This update is part of our "Security by Design" approach. By adding this simple but crucial step, together we strengthen the protection of your backup environment against new cyber threats.
